» Bogota

Bogota is an exciting modern metropolis combined with all the culture, characteristics and history of a typical large Latin American city. Bogota is admired as a city that has turned its fortunes around and is now a fine example to other South American cities.
Bogota was founded in the year 1538 by the Spanish conquistador Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada who was in search of El Dorado. It has since become a cosmopolitan urban centre. The seven million inhabitants have moulded it into a welcoming city jam packed with excellent restaurants, vibrant nightlife and numerous cultural attractions.
The city can be found in central Colombia, in the eastern mountain range of the Andes at 2,640 metres above sea level and from here the entire country is accessible either by road, air or river. The majority of international flights fly into Bogota’s El Dorado airport, and it is where most Colombia adventures begin.
With a wonderful selection of both modern and historic boutique hotels that offer superb quality, comfort and service, Bogota has a hotel to suit every taste.
